Greetings and felicitations!  Welcome to the latest and greatest version of the Camp Luther (West Virginia) website!  We’ve made some changes so please take your time and look around.  We’ve taken some of the information from the previous site and have tried to update it with new information, new capabilities, and new media (Staff, please note that you can now apply online!).  If there’s something you’d like to suggest for the site, please email me at MKPropst@aol.com. We’re very excited about the new format and look forward to your input.

But what’s the news about Camp Luther 2010, you ask?  Well, the 65th year of Camp Luther is going to be held June 20 – 26, 2010 in the beautiful hills of central West Virginia at Camp Caesar located near Cowen, Webster County. For those of you new to us, Camp Luther is a unique setting that fosters the development of young people for service to Christ and his church. We encounter God through our worship, prayer, cabin devotions, music, crafts, nature hikes, recreation and interaction with each other.  The members of the Camp Luther staff are all volunteers who give unselfishly of their time, energy, and talents. Friendships created at Camp Luther are lifelong and among the strongest bonds some of us have. And it’s not only the reuniting with old friends, but also the making of new friends that makes camp week so special! 

Our 2010 theme is Keeping the Earth, with the Bible theme: Romans 8:19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God.

After 10 February, congregations will receive their Camp Luther packets with all the necessary information: brochures, camper registration forms and staff application forms, health forms, a special needs policy, a copy of “What to bring to camp” and a copy of “Week at a Glance,” which provides a daily thumbnail sketch of our class study and worship focus. Applications, registrations, and health forms are also on the Registration Page. Completed camper registration forms and health forms with $180 are due May 1, 2010!
