  • First of all, what a great new Web site!
It's wonderful to see pictures almost in "real time" of the campers having fun.  It is also nice to read the Beacons to find out what's going on at camp.  However, I just noticed that Monday's and Tuesday's Beacons are exactly the same.

Thank you for the heads-up, Patsy! Not sure how that happened, but we'll go with some sort of weird technical glitch, or something.  ;-)

Try it again, it should work correctly now.

  • Fixed!  Thank you.  (I'll go along with the "weird technical glitch"; computers sometimes have a mind of their own!)

    Hey Mike,
This old camper, counselor, and Dean loves this website. All you need now are a few webcams so that I can sit at my desk and watch Camp "realtime" My question deals with your 1st "Did you know." I did not know that the Bull Pen was first constructed in 1928, but I did know it's original location ………Burton Hall. The sign on Buton Hall should say "Dedicated in 1963" because 1963 was my last year at Camp. My first year at Camp was 1959 and I could swear that the Bullpen wasn't torn down until several years later like 1962. And we were told then that the Bullpen was reconstructed booard by board. BTW, PA and staff loved Burton Hall and started out conducting everything in it. Us campers ? We hated it. I mean REALLY hated it !  We felt like we were back in school instead of Camp. I personally never got over that feeling. Vespers in Burton ain't nothing like vespers at Vesper Knoll. Thanks again for allowing us "old timers" get a taste of what we loved so much….the third week of June. Say Hey to all my former campers and counselors !
    FRAAAAAAAANK !

The Beacon is terrific.  Thanks for sharing with moms, dads and family at home.
